BYU Player Profile – Adam Hine

   Adam Hine

   Position: Running Bank

   Class: Redshirt Freshman

   Height: 6’1″  Weight: 193

   Hometown: Santa Clara, UT

Adam Hine is an incredibly versatile athlete who played nearly every position in high school, including quarterback.  As a junior, he broke a 29-year old high school record with a high jump of 7’2″.  He returned just in time for fall camp last year from his LDS mission to Panama and played on the scout team as he redshirted his 2011 season.  He has an incredible back story that BYU Beat Writer Dick Harmon shared shortly after his committing to BYU in 2009 (you can read it here, and I recommend it.)  I watched him at the spring scrimmage game every time he touched the ball and came away very impressed.  He was one of a small handful of offensive players to have any success against a tough defense and only came out when he suffered a blow to the head.  He’s fast, he’s big, and made a big impact last season on the scout team.  Look for him to be in the mix of significant playing time this season behind Michael Alisa and Josh Quezada.
