BYU Player Profile – Houston Reynolds

Houston Reynolds

Houston Reynolds

Position: Offensive Line

Class: Junior

Height: 6’2”  Weight: 296

Hometown: Provo, Utah

Reynolds is the son of Cougar assistant head coach Lance Reynolds and the fourth of his father’s sons to play at BYU.  Lance Jr and Dallas both played at BYU and his brother Matt just graduated in 2011 and is signed now by the Carolina Panthers.  He served a mission to Frankfurt, Germany.

As a third year player, he has 17 games of experience.  He is going to play on the offensive line but the most likely landing place for him will be snapping the ball to Riley Nelson.  In his two seasons, he’s helped BYU be a leader nationally in rushing yards per game, first downs per game and in 2010, the line produced 7 200 yard rushers.  Last season he played most of it with a hurt shoulder.

The offensive will play only as well as its offensive line is working this season and I expect great things from all phases of the offense this season.
