How they match up:

Apart from their record and blocks per game, unfortunately for Jazz fans these teams are very much alike statistically.  Orlando is coming off a big win vs the Lakers.  The Jazz dropped their first home loss fading badly in the 4th against the Clippers Monday night.  The Jazz have lost 3 in a row heading into Wednesday’s game.  Tyrone  Corbin still seems to be struggling with 4th quarter lapses and finding the right point guard.  The Jazz seem stuck in the same rut we watched last year vs. good teams.  Good news is the season is still early. Look for the Jazz to get back to winning Wednesday.

Prediction: Jazz win by 5

Stats Comparison:

Statistic Utah Jazz Toronto Raptors

Points 99.39 9th 96.24 18th
Rebounds 43.94 8th 40.88 21st
Assists 22.4 8th 20.9 22nd

Steals 7.94 16th 7.18 24th
Blocks 7.17 4th 3 189

How they match up:

Toronto has lost 8 of 10 going into this week.  The Raptors have struggled in almost every defensive categories and have one road victory on the year.  The Jazz hold a 24-8 series lead.  The 2012-13 Jazz picked up their first road win of the season vs Toronto in early November overtime win.  Look for the Jazz to flex their home muscles by exploiting Toronto’s poor rebounding and bad defense to win their 2nd game of the week.

Prediction: Jazz win by 7
